Meet Your Instructor

Hey, I'm Charlotte Chaze!
I started my Data Analytics career by teaching myself SQL online, and now I enable others to launch their own Data Analytics careers from scratch the same way I did.
Before I broke into tech, I worked as an academic researcher in a basement lab with no windows. I had long hours and my salary was barely enough to get by ($28k). I started making $70k in my first data analytics job, which was life changing, and then it took me less than 4 years to get to $158k as a senior manager in analytics thanks to job hopping and getting a promotion.
Now as an analytics instructor and the founder of Break Into Tech, I've helped Teachers, SAHMs, retail workers, waiters/servers, healthcare workers, customer service reps, operations managers, warehouse workers, a truck driver, hairstylists, police officer... people from every position you can think of! Anyone can learn data analytics and change careers. I'm here to help you achieve it.

This comprehensive data analytics training program is designed for *complete beginners*. We walk through everything you need to know to get started on a Data Analytics job. We start slow so anyone can follow along, and if you get stuck, you can always reach out on our Discord community.
You’ll learn how to become a data analyst from scratch and will be prepared for a real data analytics job upon completion of the course, even if you have no degree or previous experience!
You will need a computer (Windows or Mac) and access to the internet. We will be downloading real data analytics software during the program that will not work on a tablet, phone, or Chromebook.
If you have an older Windows or Mac that can be updated to a recently released operating system, it will work. If your computer is too old to be updated, it might not work. To double check if your computer will work, you can view the technical specs required for the software we’ll download:
Nope! Once you enroll, you have access to the entire course, and you won’t have to sign up for anything or download anything that costs more money.
The only thing you’ll need is a computer (windows or mac), because you will download real data analytics software during the course.
Due to the digital nature of our course, we do not offer refunds.
We stand by the quality of our course and have seen enough success from our students that we’re confident that anyone who puts in the effort can learn the skills and land a job.
Charlotte Chaze is the owner and founder of Break Into Tech, you can learn more about her here. She created Break Into Tech because she wanted to help others do what she did: transition to a better job that has more flexibility, higher pay, and better career growth opportunities.
The course is not a subscription, it’s a one-time payment of $249 with the option to select a payment plan. Either way, you receive lifetime access to the entire course.
Bootcamps range from $10,000 to $30,000 and take an average of 6 months to complete. They charge that much and take that long as a psychological marketing tactic to make you think you’ll be getting a lot of value.
Here at Break Into Tech, we believe in doing things more efficiently and accessibly. We cut out the fluff and give you just what you need to land your first data analytics job so that it only takes 4-6 weeks on average to get your certificate, and you don’t have to go into debt to learn a new skill.
We’ve done away with long lectures about the history of data. Our data analytics course is project-based, so you create a portfolio as you learn, and you walk away from the program with tangible evidence of your data analysis skills to prove to recruiters and hiring managers that you’re ready for a job.
All the step-by-step guidance of a data analytics bootcamp with NONE of the fluff, and you save at least $10k (and months of your life) by doing it the more efficient way.
There are a few reasons!
1) Google’s course doesn’t teach you how to build a portfolio (although they tell you to build one…). Having a portfolio is essential when changing careers because it’s the only way to prove to recruiters and hiring managers that you have experience. Our data analytics course walks you through how to build a portfolio and guides you through 9 portfolio projects to add to it.
2) Google’s course doesn’t come with any form of support. The Break Into Tech data analytics course comes with access to our private Discord community where you can ask questions.
3) Employers don’t care about certifications, they care about whether you can do the job. Many people think having a certificate from Google will make their resume impressive, but recruiters don’t care. Think about it this way: would you rather hire someone who says they know data analytics because they took a course, or someone who shows you a data analytics portfolio with multiple real projects in it? This is why our course is portfolio project based!
Many people who take the Google course end up taking our course afterwards because they still need help creating a portfolio and doing projects, and they want to be able to ask questions and receive help on our Discord.
You may be concerned about making the transition into a tech job because of the recent layoffs. But there are a few reasons that this isn’t an issue for people first breaking into tech:
1. You won’t be competing for jobs with the people who were laid off. Someone who was laid off after 3 years at Twitter isn’t going to be applying to entry level jobs.
2. Layoffs are happening at major tech companies because they expanded too fast during the pandemic, and now that we’re entering a recession, they aren’t able to keep up with their explosion of growth. This is why I encourage people to apply to tech jobs at non-tech companies. Non-tech companies in the Fortune 500 are the companies with the most revenue and have been around for decades. They don’t experience such radical cycles of growth and leveling out. This is why so many graduates of this program end up at places like Home Depot, Walmart, Comcast, etc. They’re huge, profitable companies that are constantly hiring data analysts, but they aren’t “tech” companies.
You’re in the right place if you’re feeling burnt out from your job and wish you could start a new career that pays well, has more reasonable work hours, and has tons of remote and hybrid work opportunities.
Data analytics is in high demand, pays a great salary (with typical 9 to 5 work hours), and has tons of remote and hybrid job opportunities. There’s also a low barrier to entry, so you don’t need a lot of experience to get a job – you just need a portfolio to show that you have the skills.
Data analysts are translators: they take large amounts of data and turn it into something that anyone can easily understand. Every company has so much data these days that it doesn’t fit into Excel spreadsheets, so they use databases to store it. To access a database, you need to use SQL – that’s the language that databases (and data analysts!) speak. Data analysts also use SQL to make changes to that data, like taking the sum or average of it. Then, a data analyst will take that data and turn it into visualizations like charts and graphs so it’s easier for others to understand.
The Data Analytics Certificate Course is an online course that comes with Discord support and will teach you everything you need to know to launch a new career in data analytics from scratch. It’s a comprehensive training course that was designed for people with no previous experience who want to transition from a completely different job. At the end of the course, you get a Data Analytics Certificate, and you will have your own portfolio with 9 real projects in it to show to recruiters and hiring managers so they can see that you’re a good fit for the job.
If you’re ready for a change and want to take control of your career (and the money you bring home), data analytics is for you!
There are currently over 170,000 open data analyst roles in the US alone. And the demand is only growing larger:
The US Bureau of Labor Statistics predicts that the demand for data analytics jobs is expected to grow by 23% from 2021-2031, which is *much* more than the average 5% of any other industry.
Data analytics is also ranked by the World Economic Forum as the #1 job with the most increasing demand in the entire world.
It’s a great time to get into Data Analytics!
Data analytics is one of the last jobs that will ever get automated because it’s more than just “writing code”. We’re lightyears away from an AI being able to understand what insights someone is trying to get out of a dataset, understand the context of the data, and make subjective judgements or decisions for a company. In short, data analytics won’t get automated because it requires critical thinking.
It is likely that in the future data analysts will use AI to make their jobs easier (just like how we already use software for writing SQL and creating visualizations). AI will be a tool that we use, but will not be a replacement for a person.
Also – don’t confuse data analytics with data entry, which is the #1 job that is already being automated. Stay away from data entry!
Our data analytics course is 100% self-paced and self-guided with no requirement to reach out to us when you land a job.
Many people do choose to reach out to us to celebrate their success. We get messages from students in our Discord, on LinkedIn, and even on TikTok and Instagram letting us know that they’ve landed a job after our course. We stopped counting once 100 people told us they’ve landed a job (which was just a few months after we launched)!
It’s impossible to guarantee that everyone will land a job because it depends on the individual. Beware of any courses or bootcamps that have job guarantees – the fine print usually says that if you don’t apply to a certain number of jobs per week, then your guarantee is void (and lots of other sketchy fine print, too).
We stand by the quality of our course and have seen enough success from our students that we’re confident that anyone who puts in the effort can learn the skills and land a job.
