This is why so many graduates of this program end up at places like Home Depot, Walmart, Comcast, etc. They’re huge, profitable companies that are constantly hiring data analysts, but they aren’t “tech” companies.

Then, a data analyst will take that data and turn it into visualizations like charts and graphs so it’s easier for others to understand.

In short, data analytics won’t get automated because it requires critical thinking. 

It is likely that in the future data analysts will use AI to make their jobs easier (just like how we already use software for writing SQL and creating visualizations). AI will be a tool that we use, but will not be a replacement for a person. 

Also – don’t confuse data analytics with data entry, which is the #1 job that is already being automated. Stay away from data entry!
